VOLUNTEERS ARE THE HEART OF GSQ

The Genealogical Society of Queensland Inc. (GSQ) warmly acknowledges and sincerely thanks the many volunteers whose contributions—past, present and future—make our Society possible.

Volunteers support every aspect of GSQ. From assisting members in the Resource Centre, to maintaining collections, supporting events and education programs, and serving on the Management Committee—every role is carried out by people who generously give their time.

Quite simply, without our volunteers, GSQ would not exist.

As people’s circumstances change, there is always a need for new volunteers. Even a few hours each month can make a meaningful difference, and we would be delighted to welcome you.

How You Can Get Involved

There are many ways to volunteer with GSQ, and every contribution is valued.

You might:

• Assist members in the Resource Centre
• Help with digitisation and indexing projects
• Support events and education programs
• Contribute to writing, editing, or administration
• Assist with simple but important tasks that keep GSQ running smoothly

Some roles can be done from home, while others are based at GSQ. No matter how you choose to help, your contribution makes a difference.

Not Sure Where to Start?

You don’t need to be an expert to volunteer with GSQ. Many of our volunteers began with little or no experience.

If you have an interest in family history, a willingness to learn, and a desire to contribute, there is a place for you at GSQ.
